Best Beaches in Antigua

1. Jolly Beach

A busy, mile-long, white-sand beach with gleaming turquoise waters. This popular stretch of sand at the Jolly Beach Resort on the west coast is peppered with towering, shady palms which gives it an isolated feel. If you're not staying at the resort, hop in a taxi to see this picture-perfect beach, have a bite at the beach-bar and bake in the sun all day long.

2. Pigeon Point

The main public beach on the south coast of Antigua, Pigeon Point draws in beach lovers to its shallow translucent waters, soft sand and gorgeous vistas. A local spot shaded by seagrape trees, this beach is packed on weekends with lfamilies hanging out listeing to music and having picnics.

3. Dickenson Bay

North of St. John's is one of the island widest and prettiest beaches. Sugary sand and calm jade waters draw in beach bums for watersport activities, or beach-side eats. Casual, calm and secluded, this vast bay is not one to miss off the beach bucket-list.

4. Half Moon Bay

This stunner of a beach on the south coast is popular with families, kiters and windsurfers relishing in the surf beyond the reef. Great for snorkelling and equally as good for plonking out on the warm sand and having a mid-day nap, all day.

5. Jabberwock

A secluded bay on the northern side of the island, near the airport, Jabberwock, has one of the coolest beach names in Antigua. Despite it's awesome name, this beach is is famous for being a kitesurfing, windsurfing mecca. Join in or simply just watch from the sandy shoreline, eitherway a trip to Jabberwock won't disappoint.
